Classic Old Fashioned
A Class Old Fashioned is a sophisticated platform to showcase the characteristics of the Hankey Bannister 12-year-old. Simple pairings allow the rich vanilla and subtle oak notes of Hankey Bannister to shine.
Ingredients
- 50ml Hankey Bannister 12-Year-Old
- 15ml 1:1 Sugar Syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Garnish

Method
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass, pack the mixing glass full of ice and stir for 15 -25 seconds. Use a julep strainer (or hawthorne strainer) to strain the liquid into a rocks glass with a large block of fresh ice, before garnishing with an Orange Twist.

You can experiment with the amount of syrup you use to find the perfect sweet spot for you. Too sweet, reduce the syrup, not sweet enough, increase the syrup.
